Spookhotel – Swamp Hotel 🇧🇪

Nicknamed « Het Spookhotel » (The ghost hotel) or « Swamp Hotel » by Urban Explorers, this building is the result of an unfortunately never accomplished project: the construction of a 19-storeyed hotel launched around 1969. The works were interrupted when the builders discovered that the ground was swampy, and thus unstable. An error from them? The fact remains that for more than 40 years, the concrete foundations of the first 2 floors of the hotel have been abandoned, in a site which is now overgrown.
