The "Handelsbeurs", or the old chamber of commerce of the city of Antwerp, was built around the 16th century. Situated near one of the most used ports in world trade, it goes without saying that this building was of major importance in the trade of the time. This building with a unique and very symmetrical architectural style has undergone various reconstructions over the years, especially in the 18th century. When I visited, the chamber of commerce was in the process of being renovated, there were already workers busy. This place still has a bright future ahead of it.
