The castle Marteau Longe was built near a stream in the early 1800s, in a region with several forges yielding a good fortune since the sixteenth century. This building with neoclassical style was sold in 1950 to the neighboring municipality and was used for commercial and catering purposes.
Today, due to the lack of a new re-development project, the castle and the 4 hectares of neighboring park are abandoned and delivered to squatters, looters and other vandals. Within a few years, the building underwent enormous mutations and damage, so that its renovation seems now impossible. A very sad destiny for this 200 years old building…
